About Me
I am Ziyi Wang, an undergraduate student at the YingCai Honors College, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), where I am pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science. My academic journey is driven by a profound curiosity and a steadfast determination to contribute to the frontiers of intelligent systems.
My foundational research experience was in Low-Level Computer Vision, working under the guidance of Prof. Shuaicheng Liu in the Image Processing Lab at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). This experience solidified my passion for research and honed my analytical and problem-solving abilities. During this period, I was also fortunate to be mentored by Dr. Haipeng Li. His invaluable trust and encouragement were instrumental in supporting me through challenging times and significantly shaped my early research endeavors. While my initial research focused on Computer Vision, my interests are expanding. I am keenly interested in exploring areas such as Computational Neuroscience, 3D Vision, MLSys, MLLMs and Embodied Intelligence as I move towards my doctoral studies. I am particularly drawn to the challenge of developing meaningful and foundational advancements in these rapidly evolving fields.
I approach my work with meticulous rigor and an outgoing nature, and I believe in the power of collaboration. Beyond academics, pursuits like music and football have instilled in me discipline, creativity, and a strong sense of teamwork—qualities I consider vital for a successful research career.
My ultimate goal is to pursue a long-term academic career as an independent researcher, dedicated to making impactful contributions to the scientific community.
